I have never used Google browser and newer will.
Good thing for me I don't want the full "Google" anything. ever.
Of course they’re shutting down API access to everyone not using Chrome. The question is, why did anyone assume they would do otherwise?

I can’t fault Google for this, any more than I fault them for shutting down Google+ or the half-dozen IM systems they’ve used. Google is a business, and they exist to make money. Where’s the money in providing a free API to a bunch of people who don’t offer any value to Google?
@Brad Koehn ☑️ Since user data itself is valuable I assumed they were just vaccuming and doing analytics on it like they are with Chrome user's data. Chrome isn't a product people pay for either. To be clear I never used their service. I only recently started using Firefox's bookmark syncing only and I'm not sure if I'm even going to keep that up.
It's definitely a win-lose situation....
