TIL trying to put the USB cord for my phone into the ignition will not, in fact, start the car...

of course it wont start it, you only plug in the usb cord to charge the car battery.

The phrase of the day is "upward cranio-rectal convergence."

We all fight that demon, but its good to know that even when the media and public love you for your art and your skill, you still think you are the worst.

despite being the best doctor since tom baker. you cant be less of an imposter than that.

I know a few people on my feed here were interested in this. Alas.

Bad news: it's on Facebook.

Good news: it's fmecking gorgeous.

Great. This person is better at forking calligraphy than I am with a pen.

@Trevor Schadt This is my surprised face.

What Thora said.

Well, I might eat one.

My donut tolerance is 1 cake donut, plain or cinnamon sugar only. Don't drink much soda either.

For anyone in that general area with kids -- or even without -- if you haven't explored the Great Lakes Science Center (in Cleveland OH, literally right next door to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame) it's well worth your time. We ended up taking a spur-of-the-moment trip there on Saturday, and Bean had an absolute blast. Well worth the two-hour drive from Pittsburgh, especially since they have reciprocal membership with the Pittsburgh Children's Museum, so admission for us was free. ;) #science-museum #ohio #daytrips #cleveland #midwest #things-to-do-with-your-kids

Dungeons & Dragons never got a proper ending ... until now ... in a car ad.

It's fine. I'm sure it's fine.

This has never ended poorly in any piece of narrative fiction ever.

Scientists Modify Viruses With CRISPR To Create New Weapon Against Superbugs

Yeah, most people don't know that the vast majority of viruses attack other microbes. As I put it sometimes, Ambiguities are like microbes, the pathogenic ones steal the attention. People hear "microbe" or "virus" and they think "human pathogen". Like they hear "ambiguity" and think "conflicts of interpretations".

But that's just fiction stories. Nothing to worry about. ;-)

Because I am a #geekdad I bring you the following vignette from my brain:

Interior, Arkham Asylum examination room. Dr. Hugo Strange is discussing with an assistant the effectiveness of the latest series of "treatments" for his patient.

In the background, a familiar green haired individual sits in the chair, wispy tendrils of smoke rising from his frazzled hair.

And the following speech bubble, in wavering tone, in perfect Joker intonation:

"🎼 I feel better, so much better
Thank you, Doc, for taking all the ouches away... 🎶"

In my day, we had...

It's one of those days.

If I'm ever in a room and say
"First of all, motherfucker...,"

get me out of there because I'm about to hurt some feelings.

(from an image posted to a FBM group by one of my heraldic sistren; spoiled for language)

And if you ever herald a court by starting out with the same phrase, it will be the most awesome court, ever!

..if you ever opened Court with that phrase, I'd hope to see it on video...with a look of delighted shock on my face....

What Kind of Day Has It Been?

It took me until 11:00 this pruning to realize that my shirt was on inside out. 😅😅😅😴

The dude who invented auto-correct passed away last week. May he restaurant in peace.

Don't you wish you worked here, so this could be your lunch?
