"Sanders was asked Wednesday about a pair of religion-based issues, including allegations from conservatives that freshmen Democratic Reps. Rashida Tlaib (Mich.) and Ilhan Omar (Minn.) harbor anti-Semitic views.
The two representatives have drawn criticism for their support of the boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement, which is critical of the Israeli government's treatment of Palestinians.
Sanders called the lawmakers' comments "outrageous," and slammed Democratic leaders for failing to promptly condemn the remarks."
First, Omar has recently flip floppped on BDS, no clue what comments so outlandish. Supporting BDS in face of Israeli war crimes far from "anti-semetic".
I did not read the article (explained below) but the wording of the tweet is actually correct. Hitler did push what he called national socialism (fascism) to the workers in his rise to power. This is not the same as what the author of the article implies as marxist socialism (leftism incorrectly renamed as democratic socialism by convicted felon Debs) which is not what it means to be a social Democrat.
Social Democrats are the base of the Democratic Party since FDR and the philosophy of our allies since the end of WW2.
We believe in balanced capitalism funding social programs for people who need them.
We believe in universal healthcare as a right and the correct approach is multi-payer (like Israel, Germany, and Scandanavian countries have).
We believe in: ALL human rights and animal rights; environmental and social responsibilities; and equal opportunities for all in the workforce, in housing and travel, and in education.
We are not socialists who support Castro, the Sandinistas, or other socialist and communist regimes that disappear people, kill people, and destroy economies leading to destabilization and the growth of terrorism from desperate survivors of oppression.
We do not believe in redistribution of wealth or forced public ownership.
We believe research should continue to discover the proper way to implement universal basic income funded by companies who automate resulting in job elimination.
We believe in a gradual increase in the minimum wage regionally as a stepping stone towards eliminating income inequality.
We believe in progressive tax and its reforms to force the wealthiest to pay their fair share.
We need to bring people out of poverty again but we also need a stable economy that works for the future to be sustainable.
We believe in and know the power of unity within the party and the commitment to the most progressive political party platform in our history which is 95% of Hillary's campaign platform voted as the way forward for the USA.
We reject Democratic Socialism - it is a farce - a simple rename of marxist socialism which has proven time and again to fail leading to economic destruction and greater income inequality as a result.
The leftist bias of Slate and Salon writers and editors is very clear which is why I don't bother reading any of their articles. True Democrats fact check and depend on and write in reliable sources. Much of this is driven by the GOP as a strategy: dumb down the electorate by robbing them of a good civics education over the past 30 years; convince the white poor to blame Democrats for all their woes so they vote Republican; then divide the Democratic party base by pushing the leftist agenda. I think we may find some Russian money behind the 2016 campaigns of Stein and Sanders - the implied evidence is there and is likely part of the Mueller investigation although the MSM is only focusing its reporting on the Trump campaign so far.
We reject non-Democrats signing up to run then professing he will refuse the nomination because he does not believe in the party. His entire career has been about destroying the party and he has only 3 bills he authored passed in over 40 years. Why? Because he refuses to cooperate with people putting country first. He has said many times he is not now and will never be a Democrat and how hypocritical it would be for him to run as a Democrat as late as 2012. His campaign and current organization was/is run buy former Manafort associate and Putin contractor Devine.
Do not allow yourselves to continue to be manipulated by both the GOP and its ally in BS. Check his voting record supporting wasteful defense spending and support for guns. To the Slate and Salon leftists, BS is not who he professes to be. #VoteTrueDemocrat #ResistInsistPersistEnlist
Paul Manafort sentencing for jury convictions in Virginia canceled until further notice
"Fortune.com reported on Jan. 11 that S&P Global Ratings estimated the shutdown had cost the economy $3.7 billion, with the cost to exceed $6 billion if the government doesn’t reopen by Jan. 25." What about the interest on unpaid debt? What about the impact to the economy? What about the long term credit damage to those late on bills and the resulting negative impact on the economy? It's going to be far greater than $3.7 billion.
"The filings describe a curious arrangement between the head of the Super PAC and a firm it was doing work with. The Super PAC gave $19 million to this firm, and then the firm took a 6 percent commission on that money. However, half of that 6 percent commission would then be “held” for and eventually provided to the head of the Super PAC. (This last part of the deal was not in the written contract.)"

“I’ve always been fascinated by traitors. They consider themselves highly intelligent, yet fail to understand how likely they are to be caught. When they are, they become men without a home, having betrayed their countrymen and been used by an enemy. So it will be with this one.”
Lindsey Graham calls for Trump to use emergency powers to fund border wall.
"Blaming Trump is entirely reasonable. The shutdown began last month, when Republicans still controlled both the House and Senate, and after the Senate unanimously passed a funding bill that would’ve kept the government open but didn’t fund Trump’s wall."
