This post is intended for everyone so please share outside the Fediverse if you know someone out there that fits the bill.

I am looking for someone with knowledge of various App Builders that I can ask questions of. This is a description of what I am looking for:

What I am looking for is an App Builder that can be used to build cross platform web applications (HTML/JS/CSS), iOS apps, and Android apps AND compiles ready to integrate with various app stores (meets all criteria for review and compliance and hopefully has a convenient connection for upload into the developer store.) I prefer an open source solution but would accept a low cost one time purchase fee if it meets all of the above and an open source option is not available.

There are more details but the above is the starting point. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

MIT and NASA engineers demonstrate a new kind of airplane wing

@Foryouwhynot IB the bulk of technology progress is unfortunately funded by DoD, DARPA, ONR, AFRL, ARL, etc. Now if DoD were true to its name for defense, I have no issue with that. But, the GOP has primarily pushed it into an offense agency which I do not agree with. DoD does in fact also provide humanitarian aid and creates a lot of civilian jobs associated with engineering and logistics that have nothing to do with its current offense nature. So there are pros and cons. Elect Democrats and we can return DoD to its defense nature.

On the NASA side of the house, when it was formed, its purpose was to do R&D for industry and transfer the taxpayer funded technology to the private sector. We have many civilian related things we can thank NASA for: dehydrated foods, improvement in weather, earthquake and volcanic activity predictions, medical advances in life sciences including life saving open heart surgeries, improved rescue techniques and equipment, etc. One of the largest... show more

I didn't try @Michael Rupp

ICYMI Amazon is making moves to correct injustices within and challenges its rivals to raise wages:

I'm gonna drop so I don't forget,, but like GM is ripping their offerings. The Tahoes and big pickups are actual money. The Chevy Volt is nor, to the tune of they're going to have to give them away for free in CA soon. UAW costs are like $19/hr average. Paycheck
You and I would expect double, so $18/hr is like $36 with tax, health insurance, etc.
A UAW worker, that $18/hr is more like $60-80/hr and often for nothing but contract, and don't understand why Mexico is cheaper even with tariffs.

That is why the average consulting rate in the US is $75 per hour.

Oh that is interesting... hmm. On the one hand, in doing so, he is creating potential subcontract companies. On the other hand he is creating competition for himself in the same manner software companies open a portion of their source code - to get known issues fixed and new ideas worked in a partnered manner. Both approaches actually lead to job creation and promote entrepreneurs - he was one once. Yes, in the software world unjust appropriation does happen by corporations - but in some cases successful open source projects are bought for high dollars. Bezos may be looking at that potential on delivery services as well to justify that investment. Will there be shoddy ones that treat IC's poorly like Uber and Lyft? Of course there will but there will also be good ones that innovate and treat workers well. Given Bezos' apparent vision to be the logistics giant of space travel whether sub-orbital, orbital, short range, or long range, innovation in delivery is needed. So I will watch this with interest to see where it goes.

I really liked her sharing about Rock Hudson. His story is one that should be told widely. We help others evolve over time.

For those unaware, these two were long-time friends but not lovers as the movies portrayed them. It didn't matter to her that he was a gay man. That's how it should be for all of us - age, gender, orientation, race, disability, etc should not matter. Often it does because we are a product of our life experiences. We all have prejudices and pre-conceived notions to overcome - some are taught by parents, society, church, or schools, while others are the result of negative experiences with people different from ourselves. Doris Day strikes me as someone who unlearned and overcame her prejudices.

The 10 Commandments of Logic

From an article by Caitlin Johnstone.

It’s an expanded repertoire…of fifty-five…cause and effect, emotion, faulty deduction, etc, on the attack

It was a rhetorical question.
Grammatically, "thou" takes "shalt", just as "you" takes "shall".

In the King James Bible, the ten commandments (some of them) say "thou shalt not..."

Wow...I should sleep more often...I've been thinking of song writing

I do like the "easy available" tech spin to this story.

Lately, there has been a higher-than-normal presence of emergency responders and law enforcement in our neighborhood...makes me curious but nervous at the same time...I'm not doing anything wrong, but they're there...and I don't know WHY they're there...

You could always ask the chief, if you're in a smaller town.

It's on the smaller-side, but they just did a major overhaul of the entire force...now's not the time, so to speak. They started with the chief and worked out.

Interesting read...

Anyone care to vet this information?

@Troy Schultz while what you write is true that is not the point the article is making. The article is not about sites having your location data or obtaining it somehow, it's about third parties (in this case particularly burglars, stalkers and the like) gathering information people share publicly for their activities.

Hence my point above that locations services and location sharing are two different things.

The way I see it, if you're posting it for the world to see, don't be so shocked when the world (burglars, stalkers, ex's, currents, etc.) stumble upon it...don't cry foul when your wife leaves you because you posted about your affair and she found it...
